OUR ROOTS

Connor, originally from Dokis First Nation and the French River area, is currently enrolled in a Double Honours Major in Indigenous Studies and Gender Equity and Social Justice with a minor in Legal Studies. After his BA, Connor aims to get into Law school to pursue a career in Law and Human Rights for Indigenous people across Ontario.

Jeff, originally from Hagar Ontario and the French River area, has over 15 years of experience in the Mines Technical Services field in northern Ontario mines and is currently teaching the Civil and Mining Technologist program at College Boreal since 2012, helping to develop the young technicians of tomorrow.

Together, this father-son duo aims to promote the pride found in the mining and trades industry. Currently focussing on mining-related employment, this team wants to create a network of pride and stories where miners and trades-people alike can share their tales of honour and wear their MyMiningTee-shirts as their badge. Through this initiative, they strive to create an environment of gratification for the hard-working people in these industries.

Wear our pride on your sleeve.
